Responsibilities: • Support the team effort toward continuous integration and continuous deployment solutions and develop standardized best practices for use within VA/DoD environments in line with Dev-Sec-Ops. • Oversee, manage and perform all phases of computer operating/hardware systems engineering, including design, analysis, and modeling of interfaces at a technical level. • Analyzes system software/hardware requirements to provide integration and implementation support. • Leads efforts for system software integration engineering, including full life cycle design and development. • Lead enterprise planning of engineering and integration activities and perform issue resolution. • Provide Expert-level advice and guidance to customer on complex integration issues, and supports the development of technical, operational, and functional requirements as well as the required interface agreements and MOUs. • Provide change management oversight, to plan resource alignment, identify priority adjustments, and identify needed skillsets. • Analyzes and documents users’ functional and data requirements to help determine technical requirements and architectural design options. • Develops site survey instruments to gather detailed user requirements and business process analysis data as applicable. • Conducts functional user interviews to document functional, system, customization, and data requirements and data sources. • Formulates system concepts and architecture, specifies requirements, and develops implementation approaches. • Determines data requirements for internal processes and external interfaces. • Designs new systems or tailors commercial products to meet user requirements. • Coordinates all activities necessary to complete an integration engineering project or several small projects to specification and on schedule. • Promote strong quality control practices through continuous integration and continuous deployment efforts and assist with activities necessary to remain HIPAA compliant and ensure security requirements are met. • Develop system health dashboards for monitoring. • Document and automate processes to streamline workflows, where possible. • Interface with outside vendors and external VA teams. • Serve as Subject Matter Expert to team members. • Creation of system design documentation and specifications. • Creation of system flow and architecture diagrams. Qualifications: • Experience Integrating solutions using Cloud-based technologies. • Experience Integrating solutions using structured and unstructured Big Data. • Experience with and strong understanding of software systems engineering lifecycle. • Provide status updates to stakeholders and escalates issues when necessary. • Understand security best practices. • Design and communicate custom workflows, run books, and response documents. • Take on special projects, representing the team/program or department in meetings. • Experience with system verification and validation, and systems engineering. • Strong proficiency in resolving technical and schedule issues in order to ensure that deliverables are met on schedule. • Proficient in advising management, inside and outside own organization, on system architecture, technical results, or risks. • Provide scripted solutions to unique scenarios. • Cloud platform services: AWS, MS Azure. • Experience with automating various processes end-to-end. Recommended Skills: • Agile-based knowledge and skill. • Understanding of lean agile / SAFe framework. • Full Software development life cycle experience including decommissioning. • Relational database software and Structure Query Language experience. • Healthcare claim EDI and X12 standards experience desired. Required Education/ Certifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT and/or management related field. • Minimum of 10 years of work experience. Required Clearance • Ability to pass a modest background investigation. Location • Remote, USA. Pay Range • This position ranges from $65,200 to $82,625. • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses. • TISTA associates are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits plan!
