Business Analyst / Remote,6+ Months Contract
Job Description:
This Business Analyst(BA) position will be in the IT department of a Utility company operating in North America. The BA will be responsible for:
ā¢ Facilitating requirements gathering meetings with Business and IT participants
ā¢ Gathering and documenting process flows and business requirements
ā¢ Identifying gaps in current processes and capabilities that new solutions could address
ā¢ Communicating regularly with Business and IT participants on information needed to provide solutions.
ā¢ Communicating effectively with business users to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
ā¢ Conducting reviews to ensure business requirements are met
ā¢ Assisting in developing use cases or test scripts as needed working with Business and IT experts
ā¢ Gathering requirements for new enhancements and custom reports; work with IT to develop functional specifications and work closely with the technical support or system vendor to get the requests and enhancements tested and implemented
ā¢ Reporting progress of work regularly
Must Skill:
ā¢ Strong work experience with requirements gathering, business processes, documentation of processes and requirements.
ā¢ Ability to evaluate and understand business processes and strategies and how those relate to new or existing technologies.
ā¢ Experience with Energy Trading and Risk Management business
ā¢ Understanding of concepts of Front, Middle and Back office in the Energy Trading business
ā¢ Basic understanding of VaR, MtM, Hedging, Positions or other trading or risk management concepts in trading
Plus Skills/Experience
ā¢ Experience on any ETRM implementation in an Energy Trading environment
ā¢ Experience with Trading or related functions in Logistics, Credit, Contracts, Counterparties, Plant operations or accounting, pricing, Energy exchanges, Gas or Power Trading or operations.
ā¢ Endur or cQuant or Risk Analytics experience
ā¢ Experience with ETRM systems integration to/from Legacy systems
