Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer
Job description
Busy Small Bookkeeping Firm is seeking part time help with accounting and tax preparation.
We offer good pay with the possibility of full time work as our company grows. Mostly in-office and some remote work will be available after trial period and only on occasion. Our office is located in Longmont, Colorado.
Must have experience, proficiency and expertise in:
• QuickBooks Desktop and Online
• Strong Understanding of Basic Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Financial Statements
• Completes month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations* and analysis of various
• Accounts Receivable, Collections and Accounts Payable
• General Accounting
• Payroll
• Microsoft Excel and Office
• Effective Internet Searching
• Advertising Credits (Co-ops)
• Tax Preparation (is a plus)
Desired Skills-
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks.
• Self-directed and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate with customers, suppliers, and company personnel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in person, on the phone, and email.
• High school diploma with college and/or accounting experience through past employment.
The job is extremely hands-on and detail-oriented. At least 5 years’ experience. Part Time with a Fast-paced Bookkeeping Company. Must be very dependable and detailed. Will also need to provide references. Non-Smoking Facility*Reconciliations include, but not limited to balance sheet, vendor, bank and credit card statements. *Tax Preparation includes Personal, Business and Nonprofits.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
