Biomedical Cybersecurity Team Engineer

As a Biomedical Cybersecurity Team Engineer, you will support cross-functional coordination and technical execution, ensuring project alignment with program goals while maintaining documentation accuracy and promoting communication across teams.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and maintaining a cyber tracker for clear communication on status of systemsProvide live, automated cyber updates (e.g., JIRA) to Leadership for ATCs, CRs, and connectivity dates through clear dashboardsPerform gap analysis for future sites to support planning mitigation activities (upgrades, licenses, and configurations requirements)Assist in PPSM developmentAssist auditing and reviewing inventories. Creation of POAMs statements as neededAssist with Firewall ruleset development. Development of standard templates across deployment sitesAssist onsite support for inventory analysis as needed. Assist in the development of enterprise standard configuration guides to meet cyber best practices (e.g., Welch Allyn, SkyVue, CCE Admin Tool, etc.)Work with client HTM members who are coordinating with existing client biomedical leadership and help review and validate the documentation regarding the designs for medical systems, to include devices, to facilitate client timelines and existing systemsReviewing and validation of the client regarding the designs for medical systems, to include devices, to facilitate VA timelines and existing systemsProvide technical strategies and guidance for implementation of the Risk Management Framework to support client Authority to Operate/Authority to Connect activitiesSkillsAble to understand current federal cybersecurity guidance as it relates to Healthcare TechnologyAble to understand the use of VLANs and use of logical separation of devices based on risk characterizationStrong problem-solving and communication skillsKnowledge of current Healthcare standards (e.g. HL7 FHIR, CCDA) to facilitate information exchange, as well as interoperability coordination between client and its community care providers over a Health Information ExchangeAbility to collaborate across diverse technical and functional groupsFamiliarity with enterprise IT or system modernization conceptsExperience with documentation, tracking, or reporting toolsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environmentBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceExperience with Client, other federal, or healthcare IT programsExposure to cybersecurity, testing, data, or operations domainsKnowledge of EHR systems or large-scale system integrationsBenefitsHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife Insurance401(k) Retirement Plan with matchingPaid Time OffPaid Federal HolidaysCompany OverviewSteerBridge specializes in providing professional services and cutting-edge solutions to the U.S. Government and corporate clients.
