Billing & Project Accounting Specialist
About the positionThe Billing & Project Accounting Specialist role at Aston Carter involves reviewing project contract documentation, ensuring accurate project setup, and processing accounts payable within Oracle Cloud. Responsibilities • Review project contract documentation to ensure accuracy of project setup according to client requirements.• Process accounts payable within Oracle Cloud. • Input new and existing project information into the BST Project Accounting Software accurately. • Prepare invoices using various software packages. • Interface with technical, administrative, and professional personnel to analyze information pertinent to client invoicing. • Compile invoice packets to meet client requirements, including timesheet and expense documentation, DBE reporting, and Project Manager progress reports. Requirements • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field.• 3+ years of project billing experience. • 3+ years of experience creating invoices with an understanding from both A/P and A/R perspectives. • 3+ years of experience with change orders. • 3+ years of experience working with project managers to track deadlines and milestones. • Experience working within an engineering or architectural company with revenue over $300 million. • Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot tables, Vlookups, Sumif's, and Index Match.
