Behavioral Health Therapist, Virtual
Description: • Job Summary: Provides comprehensive assessment and disposition of mental, emotional, behavioral, addictive, and developmental disorders/disabilities using specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in a virtual environment. • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides comprehensive biopsychosocial and standardized assessments using specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills for potential program enrollment. • Works with the patient to develop an initial individualized support plan with goals. • Provides resources for services in the community and makes referrals. • Responds to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health related services. • Conducts safety assessment and planning with patients via telephone or video. • Partners with patients to create self-directed sustainable changes that align with their values to promote health/wellness and enhance well-being. • Collaborates with other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop support goals for the patient. • May participate in multidisciplinary patient care conferences discussing information obtained from patient assessments, updates, and plans. • Provides appropriate documentation of all pertinent information obtained in interviews, consultation with other healthcare professionals, referrals, contacts, and supportive services provided to each patient. • Completes necessary documentation and reporting in accordance with departmental standards and federal and state regulations. • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. • Performs other duties as assigned.
