Azure Virtual Desktop Consultant

Job Title: Azure Virtual Desktop Consultant Duration: 6+ Months Work Location: Remote Full Time/Part Time: Full-time Compensation Range: $55 - $58/hr. We are seeking an Azure Virtual Desktop Consultant to support a Citrix to Azure Virtual Desktop migration project. The role involves working with architects to deploy, configure, and optimize AVD environments in Azure. Key Requirements • 4+ years IT experience with 2+ years AVD or VDI (Citrix/VMware) • Strong experience with Azure Virtual Desktop deployment • Experience with Entra ID, Group Policy (GPO), Azure Networking (VNets, NSGs) • FSLogix and MSIX App Attach experience • Experience with Intune / Endpoint Manager • Automation using ARM or Bicep templates Certification • AZ-140 (Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty) – Required • AZ-104 – Preferred Responsibilities • Deploy AVD host pools, workspaces, and application groups • Build and maintain golden images • Support Citrix to AVD migration • Troubleshoot connectivity, session, and performance issues • Create documentation and provide knowledge transfer Physical Requirements: The physical requirements for this office role include the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, typically up to 8 hours a day, and regularly operate standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Employees should be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally and frequently perform tasks that require typing, writing, and document handling. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with adequate visual and auditory abilities to read materials and participate in meetings.
