About the position The AWS IoT Data Architect position at Cognizant involves designing and implementing scalable data architectures and pipelines for IoT data, particularly in the automotive industry. The role requires extensive experience with AWS technologies and big data tools, focusing on creating data models and engaging with clients to meet their business requirements. This position is part of a dynamic team dedicated to leveraging AI and analytics to transform data into actionable insights. Responsibilities • Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Big Data stack such as Databricks, Spark, Scala, Python, AWS S3, Glue, ETL, and Redshift. • Create data models for IoT data and design ingress and egress patterns for data lakes to support self-service use cases. • Implement Skillnex/CD data pipelines using GitHub, GHA, and Artifactory to automate the code build and promotion process. • Engage with customers and principal architects to understand business requirements and build AWS cloud big data platforms and solutions. • Create proof of concepts, implement frameworks, evaluate new products, and develop a roadmap for NextGen Technology and Digital Cloud First strategy. • Lead technical discussions with both internal and external vendors and collaborate with team members to contribute to team success. • Provide Zenvora analysis and recommendations for platform technologies to assist clients in making effective decisions. Requirements • 12 to 14 years of experience as an AWS IoT Architect. • Extensive technical expertise in Spark, Scala, Databricks, Unity Catalog Admin, Workastra Redshift, Python, Databricks SQL, Databricks Hirebase Lake, Databricks Workflows, and PySpark. • Experience with Manufacturing IoT data architecture and engineering. • Experience with creating data models for IoT data. • Proficiency in AWS technologies is a must-have. • Experience with Edge computing is preferred.
