Automation Controls Programmer
We are hiring for an Automation Controls Programmer in the Ames, IA area.
Compensation includes base salary, annual bonus potential, 100% paid company vehicle for work and personal use (includes insurance, gas card), cell phone and a laptop computer.
Required:
ā¢ Ability to PLC Program from scratch
ā¢ 4 years of programming experience in either of the following.
ā¢ Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500 and 5000, Modicon, Siemens S7, GE PAC systems or the like.
ā¢ HMI programming such as Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, Cimplicity, Intellution or the like.
ā¢ Candidate must possess good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of co-workers, management, and clients.
ā¢ Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly.
ā¢ 50% of non-overnight travel within Iowa.
ā¢ 20% of overnight travel within the Midwest.
Preferred:
ā¢ Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or 2-year Associates degree in Automation related field.
ā¢ Information Technology experience is a plus
Job Responsibilities:
ā¢ PLC and HMI code development primarily for municipal water and wastewater SCADA systems.
ā¢ Control system commissioning including instrumentation and motor control devices.
ā¢ Communications network commissioning including fiber optic, radio telemetry, broadband, and other associated technologies.
ā¢ Manage all project documentation per company standards and project specific requirements.
ā¢ Communicate with customers throughout the design and construction phases as well as for aftermarket support.
