Audiologist Educational Audiologist | Chesapeake, Virginia

An opportunity is available for a full-time Audiologist to provide specialized audiology services within a school district in the Virginia Beach area. This itinerant role requires travel to multiple school locations to conduct hearing exams and develop a comprehensive audiology program, as the district transitions from relying on an external clinic to an internal service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and audiological evaluations for students across various age groups.
• Develop and implement an audiology program tailored to the district’s needs.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to support students’ hearing and communication needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with VA state regulations.
• Travel between school sites within the district to deliver services as required.

Qualifications and Experience:
• PhD in Audiology required.
• Active and valid Audiologist licensure in Virginia.
• Previous experience providing audiology services in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
• Familiarity with itinerant service delivery models.
• Flexibility to conduct prescreen interviews during designated hours.

Position Details:
• Location: Virginia Beach area, VA.
• Start Date: Immediate availability preferred.
• Contract Duration: Until June 16, 2026.
• Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
• Itinerant position requiring travel to assigned schools (number of schools TBD).
