Attorney/Lawyer
We are looking for an experienced Attorney to join our team on a contract basis for a duration of three months. This position is based in Austin, Texas, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Occupational or License Defense or Civil/Commercial Litigation and must be adept at managing cases independently.
Responsibilities:
• Provide legal review and triage of incoming files resulting from an acquisition.
• Handle litigation tasks related to Occupational or License Defense and Civil/Commercial Litigation.
• Draft and manage legal documents, briefs, and correspondence to support case management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of legal matters.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
• Manage case files efficiently using case management software and document management tools.
• Address client complaints and claims with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Utilize advanced legal writing skills to prepare high-quality reports and summaries.
• Work independently and effectively with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
• Licensed attorney with active bar membership.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Occupational or License Defense, Civil Litigation, or Commercial Litigation.
• Proficiency in case management and document management software.
• Strong legal research and writing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Quick learner with excellent time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and perform under minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Acrobat and Conveyancer is preferred.
Compensation
$42.75-$49.50 Hourly
