Position Summary: The Attorney, Contracts and Regulatory Operations provides legal support to the organization and ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while mitigating legal risks. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements and advising on legal and regulatory issues affecting the organization. Collaborates with internal teams and external counsel to address legal inquiries and support business operations. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and communication skills. What you will do: Legal Coordination and Support: β€’ Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and other legal documents β€’ Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual matters and risk mitigation β€’ Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies β€’ Manage contract lifecycle processes, including renewals, amendments, and terminations β€’ Actively support the organization's Compliance and Privacy programs β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Growth, Operations, and Finance, to address legal and business needs β€’ Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and industry trends β€’ Assist in resolving contract disputes and provide support in litigation matters, if necessary β€’ Provide guidance on key regulatory topics, including Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) Oversight and Professional Collaboration: β€’ Report to the General Counsel β€’ Foster collaboration and alignment with external counsel, vendors, and service providers β€’ Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and professionalism throughout the organization What you need: β€’ Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school β€’ Active bar member, in good standing β€’ 5 years of experience in contract law, preferably in an in-house or corporate setting β€’ Strong understanding of contract drafting, negotiation, and management β€’ Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills β€’ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment β€’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills β€’ Proactive in identifying risks and offering actionable solutions β€’ Ability to treat sensitive information with the highest degree of confidentiality β€’ Demonstrated experience managing legal programs, projects, and processes β€’ Familiarity with ERISA, and CAA regulations and the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request process, including handling incoming requests, coordinating inquiries, and monitoring responses while ensuring clear communication with stakeholders β€’ Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) β€’ Energetic, proactive, self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment β€’ Impeccable professional ethics, integrity, and judgment β€’ Willingness and ability to travel (10%-20%) What you get: β€’ To impact industry change in the pharmacy benefits management space, while delivering the highest quality patient outcomes β€’ To work in a culture where people thrive because when OUR team thrives, OUR business thrives β€’ Competitive compensation, including health, dental, vision and other benefits Note: AffirmedRx is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
