About the Role: As an Assistant Teaching Professor, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in biomedical engineering, supervising senior design projects, and contributing to departmental and university service activities. Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biomedical engineering, including experimental laboratory techniques, biomaterials, and biomechanics
Supervise senior design projects and contribute to departmental and university service activities
Integrate safety practices into daily activities and commit to learning about continuous improvement strategies
Contribute to the development of a sense of belonging and an equitable and inclusive learning environment for all students
Requirements:
Earned doctorate in biomedical engineering or a closely related field
Teaching experience in experimental laboratory techniques, biomaterials, and/or biomechanics, or other BME core courses
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Broad knowledge of the field of biomedical engineering
Desirable Qualifications:
Face-to-face and online teaching experience
Teaching experience at the graduate level in area of expertise
Interest and ability to conduct research
Demonstrated success in working with persons from diverse backgrounds and creating a sense of belonging
