Assistant Engineer (As-Needed - Hybrid)

CSG Consultants is seeking an Assistant Engineer for their engineering department. This entry-level position involves professional engineering work related to public works projects, including planning, design, construction, and maintenance tasks under supervision. Responsibilities Perform engineering calculations, and prepare plans, specifications and estimates for construction of public works projects Compile and review engineering data for preparation of reports and studies Perform field measurements and inspections, and record and organize field data Under direction and supervision, perform engineering work for public works projects, ensuring technical competence and compliance with governing regulations Develop and/or maintain database, spreadsheets and reports to monitor performance of engineering design projects Coordinate project activities with project teams, field personnel, utility companies, other consultants, and contractors Roadway Design Only - Maintain knowledge of the latest Caltrans and/or AASHTO design and construction standards and specifications. OR Utility Design Only - Maintain knowledge of the latest NASSCO and/or AWWA design and construction specifications.
