Our client, a leader in advanced engineering solutions, is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US . This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining collaborative in-office work with remote flexibility.

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems for innovative new products. You will utilize CAD software to create 3D models, drawings, and prototypes, ensuring adherence to design specifications and performance requirements. Key responsibilities include performing engineering calculations, conducting simulations (e.g., FEA, CFD), and analyzing test data to validate designs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists, to ensure seamless product integration.

Key duties involve specifying materials, selecting components, and developing Bills of Materials (BOMs). The ideal candidate will contribute to design reviews, identify potential design flaws, and propose effective solutions. Experience with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, and assembly is highly desirable. You will participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, supporting the transition from design to production. Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and thermodynamics is essential. The ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions is crucial.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering simulation tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles is a plus.
