Assistant Bookkeeper

At Romeo’s Bookkeeping, precision is the foundation of everything we do. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Bookkeeper with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience who brings a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining flawless financial records for our clients. This is not an entry-level position—we’re seeking someone who can confidently manage core bookkeeping functions, spot discrepancies quickly, and ensure every financial detail is accounted for. If you take pride in clean books and exact numbers, you’ll fit right in.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute daily bookkeeping tasks with a strong emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Categorize bank and credit card transactions accurately within QuickBooks Online
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved promptly
• Maintain organized and accurate records across multiple client accounts
• Review financial data regularly to ensure error-free reporting
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (required)
• Transaction categorization
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Experience managing multiple client accounts is a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently
