The Vagabond's Verse
is an emerging independent magazine that cultivates a safe space for all forms of modernist narratives/art/expression. We amplify underrepresented narratives and foster a strong community of artists. Each issue reflects the richness of the human experience through thought-provoking essays, articles, fiction, poetry, and multimedia art.
Our second issue as a magazine comes out July 2026.
W
e’re looking for sharp, creative minds to join in shaping our current creative direction.
We’re seeking
Artists, Creative Directors, PR Managers, Brand Strategists & Creative Analysts
to evaluate our current identity, clarify our positioning, and develop a path toward sustainable growth.
This is a
volunteer (unpaid) role
—best suited for someone looking to build a strong portfolio and experiment creatively (we're seeking
professionals, grad students, college students
etc).
This position requires
a commitment of minimum 2.5 - 5 hours each week
.
What You’ll Do:
• Join the Creative Director in weighing whether or not certain creative decisions fit the brand's image.
• Audit the magazine’s current tone and content strategy
• Identify opportunities for growth and distribution
• Develop creative monetization strategies aligned with our magazine's values
Who You Are:
• A strategic thinker with strong artistic instincts
• Experienced in branding, media, publishing, or cultural projects
• Push back when something feels off-brand
• Able to balance artistic integrity with business viability
• Comfortable working with early-stage, evolving concepts
• If you identify as an Artist, Graphic Designer, Web Designer, and/or Social Media addict (aka. you understand the algorithm and are familiar with trends), this is the home for you.
Bonus if you have:
• Experience with independent publications, zines, or creative communities
• A strong sense of cultural trends, aesthetics, and audience-building
This is a
high-impact, collaborative role
where your ideas will directly shape the future of the publication.
