Artist & Label Partnerships Manager, Indian Hip-Hop, Indies & International

We are looking for an Artist & Label Partnerships (ALP) Manager for Indian Hip-Hop, Indies & International, to join our Artist and Label Partnerships team in India - a team that is passionate about helping artists grow. The role is primarily about ensuring that artists, managers, distributors, aggregators and labels see Spotify as the #1 partner for artist development and growth. You will work closely with the India team on critical initiatives for your focus languages and partner with international counterparts on global campaigns. You are strong in data and analytics and have a sound understanding of the music business. You will also work closely with internal teams to further Spotify’s marketing and distribution initiatives to the mutual benefit of Spotify and its industry partners. Most importantly, you are passionate about music, like to have fun at work and have a desire to be creative and make a positive impact on the music industry as a whole. What You'll Do Be the face for Spotify across all artists and labels that you handle across Indian hip-hop, Indies & International labels & artists. Create, build and maintain positive relationships across the artist and label community Work closely with artists and labels on all meaningful and priority releases in your territory and help make it a success on SpotifyEducate our key partners on Spotify tools and resources, which helps them increase their impact on their listenersAnalyse data and insights to identify growth opportunities for the artists and languages that you are responsible forEnable a deeper artist and fan engagement with Spotify. Be an advocate for Spotify’s interests and initiatives within the artist community and among the industryWork in partnership with the local and global editorial teams to ensure content strategies are localized and successfully implementedWork closely with the Marketing, Comms and other cross-functional teams to fulfill company’s marketing and business goalsEnsure Spotify has the best possible content offering in your territory, and use this to further Spotify’s appeal to existing and new usersAttend key events, conferences, and shows. Some travel required (depending on laws and restrictions) Who You Are You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience with label and artist relations in an established digital music service, record label or at a media company in the regionYou have a strong understanding of India’s music industry across multiple languages and regions (especially the North and West states) and have worked closely with artists in India and internationallyYou have a strong music and technology background, a deep understanding of music marketing and operations You are passionate about music. Any formal training and education in music will be an added advantage You are fully conversant with the latest digital marketing techniquesYou have excellent analytical, negotiating, presentation and communication skillsYou are numerate and adept at analyzing and interpreting data and using it to drive business objectivesYou are well organized, dedicated, with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines and pay exceptional attention to detailYou possess a flawless level of written and spoken English and Hindi and are proficient in at least one more Indian language Where You'll Be This role will be based in Mumbai, IndiaWe offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home
