*Application Architect
Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks an Application Architect to design, guide and oversee the underwriting landscape transformation projects. Specific duties include: manage enhancements to and processing within the Underwriting applications; provide technical advice and guidance to colleagues to support the specification and development of software solutions; partner with the business on their needs and building the functionality within the platform; provide technical solutioning to cloud environment; and troubleshoot and maintain applications and testing. Option to work remotely 40% percent of the time. Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as an Application Designer, or similar position designing, guiding and overseeing the underwriting landscape transformation projects. Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following: working with secure software development; working in Insurance Industry; working in commercial property and casualty insurance underwriting and policy administration concepts; and working on software design, modification, implementation and deployment, including object-oriented programming concepts. Must also have 3 years of experience working with each of the following: Insurance Policy Admins Configuration and Integration; On-Prem apps to cloud modernization; and Cloud Computing Technologies and services.
