They are seeking an Analyst, Strategic Intelligence to collect and organize information related to company profiles, market research, and industry trends to support business development initiatives.ResponsibilitiesProvide timely research and operational support for a range of business development projects across the firmGather and compile company profiles, including details on company operations, key management, transactional and litigation activity, and recent news, as requested by attorneys, business development professionals, and broader SI teamGenerate and maintain client, industry, and regional lists by integrating internal and external data on a quarterly or ad-hoc basisReconcile external target lists with internal databases and maintain accurate internal records for specific practice areasSupport the broader SI team on complex projects by conducting preparatory work and providing ad-hoc research or operational assistance as neededMonitor and report on new developments in various companies, industries and geographic regions using a range of internal and external data sourcesPrepare ad hoc extracts of transactional and litigation data, such as company or competitor information. in various formats to support specific requests and projectsSkillsProficiency with the full Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, look-ups, etc.)Ability to compile, organize and summarize information from multiple sources in a clear and concise mannerAbility to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment, particularly when handling sensitive and confidential informationHigh attention to detail, accuracy and organizationCapable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team; adaptable to change and comfortable with ambiguityProcesses research skills, utilizing various online sources to gather informationBasic understanding of business financials, including familiarity with SEC filingsStrong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to build trust-based relationships with teammates and stakeholdersDemonstrated passion for excellence and a desire to make a significant impactManages Firm resources responsiblyAdherence to firm operations, policies, and proceduresFlexibility to adjust hours work hours as necessary business needsBachelor's degreeMinimum of one year of related work experience, preferably in a law firmFamiliarity with market intelligence tools such as CapIQ, Mergermarket, Pitchbook, Bloomberg Law, Refinitiv, BoardEx, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms is a plusKnowledge of and experience with SQL is a plusBenefitsComprehensive health care (medical, dental, vision)Savings plan/401(k) and voluntary benefitsGenerous paid time offPaid leave options, including parentalIn-classroom, remote, and on-demand learning and professional development opportunitiesRobust well-being classes and programsOpportunities to give back and make an impact in local communitiesCompany OverviewSkadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates delivers the highest quality advice and novel solutions to legal challenges, enabling clients to achieve their business goals.
