Analyst Sponsor Finance

The Analyst in the Sponsor Finance Group will be responsible for underwriting new cash flow LBO & private equity backed transactions and portfolio management activities, including due diligence and credit approval documentation preparation. Responsibilities Assisting the deal team in the due diligence process for new cash flow transactions, inclusive of both financial and qualitative due diligence Preparing pre-screen memos and credit approval documents for presentation to credit committee Preparing financial models Assisting in the closing process on new transactions Management and ongoing monitoring of portfolio accounts Skills Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience 1-2 years of experience in leveraged finance at a commercial bank, investment bank or finance company with strong commercial credit experience Superior written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical skills and proficiency with financial statement modeling Experience underwriting middle market cash flow transactions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision Graduate of a formalized credit training program is preferred but not required Benefits Incentive compensation Company Overview Webster is a commercial bank that provides financial services to corporations, individuals, families, and partners.
