They are seeking a motivated Research Analyst to join their Municipal + District Finance Team, where the role involves performing data analysis, technical writing, and collaborating on projects related to Development Impact Fees and Fiscal Analysis.ResponsibilitiesWorks directly with Project Directors, Managers, and Engineers on consulting services related to Development Impact Fees, District Formation and Administration, Fiscal and Economic Analysis, and Reimbursement AuditsPerforms data entry, analysis, research, technical writing, and other project related tasks assigned by senior staffGenerates and updates project documents and deliverables utilizing MS Office SuitePerforms data entry duties by inputting information quickly and accurately from a variety of sources into a databaseAssists with project schedules, updates tracking spreadsheets, and provides support to the teamPerforms increasingly complex and specialized research and analyzes financial, accounting, operational, and statistical data to prepare technical reports summarizing resultsDevelops and maintains financial, economic, and feasibility analyses and assessments, including identifying recommendations and alternative optionsPrepares written technical components for proposals, analyses, and assessmentsProofreads documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, sentence structure, redundancy, composition, style, etcSummarizes analysis and findings for different audiences, writing clearly and with attention to detailOccasionally interacts with clients, the general public, and developersCommunicates clearly with supervisors, staff, and other colleagues to address both project and team needsAdheres to project schedules and proactively providing regular updates to team membersSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Economics, Urban Planning, Engineering, Public Administration or related degreeA minimum of 1 year of experience working in a professional office settingCandidates with civil or infrastructure engineering experience are highly encouraged to apply, particularly those with experience in capital improvement planning, infrastructure cost estimating, or public works project developmentMust be an analytical thinker, excellent writer, communicator, well-organized, and detail-orientedAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong skills across the MS Office SuiteStrong proficiency with written and oral communication skills for diverse audiencesAbility to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously, manage time effectively to meet deadlines, interact with clients, train staff, oversee quality control, and contribute to presentationsBasic proficiency with principles and practices of operational assessments and analysis, principles, methodologies, and practices of research and data collectionBe proactive, solution-oriented, collaborative, and work well with different team members in an efficient mannerBe curious and resourceful – proactively seek a deeper understanding of your work and ways to maximize the value for clientsApproach all work in accordance with Harris' Purpose, Vision, and Shared ValuesSome travel within California, Washington, and Nevada may be requiredGIS experience or database experience is a plusBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceESOP401K MatchPTO, 8 Paid Holidays + "1 WorkAversary" paid holiday to celebrate you!Health & Well-Being AllowanceTuition reimbursementFlexible hybrid/remote work plansPaid Leave Programs such as maternity, parentally, and family medical leaveCompany OverviewHarris & Associates provides a comprehensive array of services to a clientele which ranges from individuals and small businesses.
