**Job Description**
As a Flight Attendant with American Airlines, you will ensure the safety and comfort of our passengers while providing exceptional customer service. Your days will be dynamic, with diverse responsibilities from pre-flight briefings to post-flight assessments. This role demands flexibility and adaptability to handle various in-flight duties and manage irregular operations effectively.
**Responsibilities:**
– Perform pre-flight cabin checks and ensure all safety equipment is ready and operational.
– Greet passengers warmly and assist with boarding, including helping with luggage stowage.
– Conduct safety demonstrations and ensure all passengers comply with security regulations.
– Serve meals, beverages, and sell onboard products.
– Provide special attention to passengers with special needs, such as the elderly, small children, or those with disabilities.
– Handle in-flight emergencies calmly and efficiently, administering first aid as needed.
– Maintain a clean cabin environment throughout the flight.
– Complete detailed flight reports and communicate any incidents or feedback to the relevant departments.
**Requirements:**
– Minimum age of 21 years.
– High school diploma or equivalent; further education is advantageous.
– Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
– Ability to reach overhead bins and stand for long periods.
– Capability to pass a rigorous training program and a thorough medical and background check.
– Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
– Able to relocate as needed and adapt to a flexible schedule.
**Educational Qualifications:**
– High school diploma or equivalent required.
– Higher education or certifications in hospitality, communications, or tourism are preferred but not mandatory.
**Experience:**
– Prior customer service or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
– Previous airline experience is not required, but considered an asset.
