About the Role
STSI is looking for an experienced AWS Consultant to support cloud operations, infrastructure management, security, compliance, and optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on AWS experience, strong knowledge of federal compliance requirements, and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
⢠Manage AWS accounts, billing, cost optimization, usage monitoring, IAM policies, and MFA.
⢠Maintain and support AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, and Route 53.
⢠Lead cloud architecture, roadmap planning, scalability, resiliency, and disaster recovery efforts.
⢠Perform system health checks, patching, monitoring, incident response, and remediation.
⢠Support security and compliance activities related to NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, ATO, audits, and risk management.
⢠Prepare documentation, reports, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and optimization recommendations.
⢠Coordinate with leadership, IT teams, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
⢠Proven experience supporting federal, public sector, or compliance-driven AWS environments.
⢠Hands-on experience with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP compliance.
⢠Strong knowledge of identity management, MFA, IAM, and zero-trust principles.
⢠Experience with AWS infrastructure, cloud operations, security, cost management, and incident response.
⢠Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Required Certifications
⢠AWS Certified Solutions Architect ā Professional
⢠AWS Certified DevOps Engineer ā Professional
⢠AWS Certified Security ā Specialty
Preferred Certifications
⢠AWS Certified Advanced Networking ā Specialty
⢠CISSP or equivalent
⢠CISM or equivalent
Work Arrangement
