AMA Proofreader
Base pay range $30.00/yr - $40.00/yr Role AMA Proofreader Location Remote (must be located in PST area) Hourly Rate $30-40/hr (W-2) DOE Test required! About the client Clutch is looking for an AMA Proofreader for a pharmaceutical agency client. Responsibilities • Review pharmaceutical content: websites, digital, and traditional media. • Check for regulatory compliance with requirements and target audience. • Identify and fix typos, spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and punctuation issues. • Ensure text adheres to specific style guides (AMA), brand voice, and formatting standards. • Review the final layout for rendering errors, correct page breaks, and ensure visual consistency. • Support the editorial team as needed. • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and fact‑check. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree required. • 4+ years of experience as a proofreader, preferably in a pharmaceutical agency (HCP/DTC) setting. • Previous experience with AMA style guide required. • Experience with regulatory submissions preferred. • Experience annotating and referencing required. • Ability to take an editing assessment (required).
