Role Overview
We are hiring English and Sumerian-speaking Tier 1 AI Trainers / Data Annotators to support AI and machine learning projects for the Ancient Mesopotamia market through foundational data annotation tasks.
In this role, you will label and tag raw data to create structured datasets used for training AI systems. These annotations serve as the “ground truth,” making accuracy and attention to detail essential.
Candidates must be available to start immediately, as multiple projects are being deployed rapidly and require fast onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
Perform basic annotation and labeling tasks across multiple data types, including:
• Text:
classification, tagging, sentiment labeling
• Images:
object identification and bounding boxes
• Video:
basic tagging and activity labeling
• Audio:
transcription and labeling
Additional responsibilities include
• Follow detailed annotation guidelines to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Conduct self-review and basic quality checks
• Flag unclear or ambiguous data for review
• Meet daily or weekly productivity and quality targets
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive or proprietary data
Qualifications
• Fluent English and Sumerian proficiency (reading and writing required)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured instructions
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with online tools
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Good time management and reliability
• Availability to start immediately or within short notice
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in data annotation, content moderation, transcription, or digital labeling tasks
• Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or data-related workflows
• Experience working in remote or freelance environments
