Role Overview Cadre AI is looking for a talented AI Engineer to join our dynamic team and help drive the development and optimization of our AI-powered platforms. This role requires strong technical expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and large language models (LLMs), with a proven track record of building scalable AI solutions. The ideal candidate has experience working with OpenAI’s GPT series, Anthropic’s Claude, Google’s Gemini, and open-source models like Llama. Responsibilities Design and implement machine learning models and AI algorithms for applications such as OCR, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), conversational agents, and content generation. Develop and optimize prompts for LLMs to improve model outputs and align with business objectives. Evaluate and fine-tune ML models and LLMs using rigorous testing and validation methodologies. Collect, preprocess, and manage large datasets to support AI model training and deployment. Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to integrate AI models into products and services. Stay updated on the latest advancements in generative AI, LLMs, and machine learning frameworks to incorporate best practices and new technologies. Deploy AI models into production environments and monitor performance, making necessary adjustments over time. What you need to Succeed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as an AI/ML Engineer or in a similar role. Hands-on experience with LLMs, including OpenAI GPT-4, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and open-source models like Llama. Strong expertise in building RAG systems, agent frameworks, and LLM chains. Proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch. Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques, and natural language processing. Experience in evaluating ML models and LLMs using appropriate metrics and methodologies. SQL (Postgres) and data warehouse management experience (Snowflake preferred). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to tackle complex AI challenges. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience deploying AI models on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Open-source contributions in AI projects or active participation in AI research communities. Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
