[Remote] Lead Cloud Platform Engineer

They are seeking a highly skilled Lead Cloud Platform Engineer to lead the implementation and continuous improvement of their cloud platform, focusing on translating architectural designs into scalable and reliable cloud solutions.ResponsibilitiesLead the implementation of cloud platform designs across infrastructure, networking, security, automation, and observabilityPartner with the Architecture team to review proposed designs, provide implementation and operability feedbackTranslate architectural direction into production‑ready solutions with focus on reliability & resilience, performance & scalability, and cost efficiencyCollaborate with CloudOps and Engineering teams on roadmap execution and platform improvementsDrive infrastructure as code and CI/CD automation through standardized Terraform modules, pipelines, and platform tooling to improve consistency, security, and operational efficiencyServe as the technical escalation point for complex cloud and platform issuesSkills8+ years in CloudOps, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles supporting production SaaS environmentsDeep hands-on expertise with AWS (primary) and AzureStrong experience implementing networking (VPCs, routing, firewalls, VPNs), storage (EBS, S3, FSx, etc.), compute and container platforms (ECS, EKS)Advanced Terraform expertise, including module design and governanceStrong CI/CD and automation experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy)Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, New Relic, Azure Monitor)Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in complex production environmentsExperience supporting enterprise databases (SQL Server, Oracle)B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experienceAWS Solutions Architect certification, preferably ProfessionalBenefitsThis position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.Company OverviewTrusted Since 1992, Intelex Technologies, ULC.
