Advanced Design Engineer | $61/hr Remote
Position: Engineering Design Specialist and POD Lead
Type: Hourly Contract
Compensation: $46 $61/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 20 40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
⢠Develop simulation-basedQ engineering problems to train advanced AI models.
⢠Create realistic design challenges involving trade-offs, component sizing, and optimization.
⢠Validate engineering solutions using physics-based simulations and domain expertise.
⢠Design multi-step problem sets including reference solutions, edge cases, and evaluation criteria.
⢠Analyze AI outputs for correctness, feasibility, and physical realism.
⢠Ensure accuracy in units, boundary conditions, convergence, and system behavior.
⢠Document problems, solutions, and evaluation logic in a structured and clear manner.
⢠Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve AI model performance.
Requirements:
⢠Master s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
⢠Strong hands-on engineering design experience (not just analysis).
⢠Strong expertise in at least one engineering domain (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Chemical, Robotics, etc.).
⢠Proficiency in at least one simulation tool (FEA, CFD, SPICE, RF tools, etc.).
⢠Strong Python (or equivalent) scripting skills.
⢠Ability to design complex, simulation-based problems involving trade-offs and optimization.
⢠High attention to detail including units, boundary conditions, and physical accuracy.
⢠Strong analytical thinking with the ability to evaluate edge cases and design correctness.
⢠Excellent written communication and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
⢠Availability with at least 20- 40hrs per week with 4 hours overlap with PST.
