PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Administrative Assistant professional provides administrative support and handle numerous responsibilities. This person works with trades professionals, technical personnel, or with other administrative assistants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates administrative activities and storing, retrieving, and integrating information for dissemination to staff and clientsPerforms a variety of administrative and clerical duties as assignedResponsible for electronic files and does research as requiredUses the telephone, mail services and web sites in order to complete job functionsCommunicates on quasi-technical and programmatic elementsCreates and manages spreadsheets, documents and databasesCreates presentations, reports and documentsComposes correspondence to clients and inner office personnelUses computers and software, fax machines, photocopiers, scanners, and videoconferencing
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma plus 2 years industry specific experienceComputer experience (certificates of completion for courses a plus)
Skills:
Adapt and implement new procedures as required to provide excellent customer supportWilling to learn new technologies and stay current on the latest industry trendsExcellent listening, troubleshooting and problem solving skillsProfessionally and effectively communicate; both verbal and written at all levels within the organizationSelf-starter, able to work independently with minimum supervisionStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environmentMaintain complete confidentiality of sensitive informationProficient knowledge with MS Office365 applications
General Requirements:
US Citizenship requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a government security clearanceMay be required to work additional hours to support business objectivesLimited availability to take leave during peak business cycles to support business objectivesAbility to maintain valid driver's license issued within the United States and proof of personal liability insurance (applicable for mileage reimbursement)Local travel (DC Metro area) may be required
