The GSE Operations Assistant provides administrative and coordination support to the leaders of the Debt Operations platform, ensuring efficient operations and communication within the team.ResponsibilitiesSupport day-to-day business needs for the department including calendar coordination, travel arrangements, and contact managementAssist senior leaders within the Debt Operations leadership team with the following:Prepare, review, and submit expense reports, including ones submitted by managersβ direct reportsReview invoices for accuracy and process them for timely payment approvalOrganize and prepare materials for recurring weekly and monthly meetings, including agendas, presentations, etcMaintain superior organization of department documentation and paperwork, ensuring accuracy and accessibilityDraft and format general correspondence, memos, charts, tables, graphs, and basic reports; proofreading materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarityDemonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude by supporting additional administrative tasks and projectsCommunicate and problem-solve daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholdersPerform other duties as assignedAttendance is generally required from 8:30 am β 5:30 pm local time, Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and FridaysSkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointFamiliarity with contact management systems (e.g., Outlook, Salesforce, etc.)Excellent attention to detail, judgment, flexibility, and dependabilityStrong business sense and ability to prioritize work as well as to find solutions to various problems while prioritizing and managing deadlinesAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentInterest in or experience with real estate finance and/or information technologyProven desire for continuous learningHigh level of interpersonal skills and maturity to handle sensitive and confidential informationPosition continually requires poise, tact, diplomacy, and initiativeAbility to work as a part of a team, while providing a strong individual contributionAbility to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processesCourtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholdersBachelor's degree strongly preferred1-2+ years administrative experience supporting senior executives preferredBenefitsUp to 83% subsidized medical payroll deductionsCompetitive dental and vision benefits401(k) + matchPre-tax transit and commuting benefitsA robust health and wellness program β earn cash rewards and gain access to resources that promote health, engagement, and balancePaid maternity and parental leave, as well as other family paid leave programsCompany-paid life, short and long-term disability insuranceHealth Savings Account and Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible SpendingCareer development opportunitiesEmpowerment and encouragement to give back β volunteer hours and donation matchingCompany OverviewWalker & Dunlop is a commercial real estate finance and advisory firm that creates strong capital markets and investment sales capabilities.
