Position Summary:The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is developing an innovative Master of Science in Physician Assistant (PA) Studies program designed to prepare future clinicians for excellence in patient-centered, evidence-based care. We are seeking adjunct faculty members with advanced expertise to help shape the curriculum during this formative stage. This is a unique opportunity to influence program design, collaborate with experienced educators, and contribute to the training of the next generation of healthcare providers.Compensation: $1,500/course credit hourThis is a part-time, remote position. All remote work must be performed in a state in which the College is registered to do business which includes New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Florida, Maryland, Wisconsin, and California.Interested applicants should submit a letter outlining their specific interest in this position along with a current curriculum vitae or resume.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with program leadership to design and develop courses for the emerging PA curriculum.Create learning objectives, assessments, instructional materials, and evidence-based content.Ensure alignment with ARC-PA standards and program goals.Participate in curriculum review meetings and provide subject-matter expertise as needed.Contribute to a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and student-centered learning.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Passionate about PA education and program-building.Communicate clearly and work well in collaborative academic environments.Bring creativity, rigor, and clinical insight into curriculum design.Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusive teaching practices.Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to complete work and meet deadlines in a timely and professional manner.Positive attitude and strong work ethic.Education and Experience: A doctoral degree in Medicine (MD/DO), Physician Assistant Studies (DMSc/PhD/EdD), or a closely related field.Relevant clinical experience and/or academic experience in PA or medical education is preferred.A strong understanding of contemporary PA practice and competency-based education is preferred.Application Process:Interested candidates should submit the following documents:Cover Letter outlining their specific interest in this positionCurrent Curriculum Vitae (CV) or ResumePhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
