Position Overview
Adjunct Faculty members teach courses to students pursuing a broad range of Associate in Arts, or Associate in Science degrees.
What you will be doing
ā¢ Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
ā¢ Evaluates and advises students
ā¢ Participates in departmental and College affairs
ā¢ Develops curricula
ā¢ Recruits students
ā¢ Serves on committees
ā¢ Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
ā¢ Master's degree in Education or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in Early Childhood Education; and, one year or more of experience in a child care setting serving children birth through 8 years old
ā¢ Possess excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
ā¢ Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
ā¢ Ability to communicate effectively with students of widely ranging skills
ā¢ Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
ā¢ Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
Preferences
ā¢ Doctorate in Early Childhood Education or Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Early Childhood Education
