Actuarial Internship - West Chester

Full-time actuarial internship supporting assumption setting and data analysis within Venerable’s Finance organization. Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: • Updating and developing Excel spreadsheets using advanced formulae and data utilities. • Developing and presenting memorandums summarizing analysis and results for teams and senior leaders. • Using data analysis tools such as R and SQL to summarize data extracts, organize data, and interpret trends for assumption setting, reserve investigations, and risk reporting. • Visualizing data summaries, trends, and reconciliation results using Excel and PowerBI. • Building understanding of variable annuity product features and primary risk drivers. • Gaining knowledge of market data and metrics used to measure risks associated with variable annuities. • Building and maintaining documentation on processes. About You The company is looking for: • Recent graduates with strong mathematical aptitude and solid technical skills. • Individuals who display personal initiative and strong communication skills. • Candidates interested in pursuing a career in Actuarial Science (strong preference). • Prior internship or co-op experience preferred. • Availability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, with a hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) at West Chester, PA, and 2 days remote. • Immediate availability with a targeted start date in October 2025.
