Accounting Specialist (QuickBooks Experience)

Latitude Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist with hands-on experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel. The role involves supporting daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping, and contributing to an efficient month-end close process. Responsibilities Review, verify, and process vendor invoices with proper coding Reconcile statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain vendor records Assist with weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions Ensure AP activities comply with company policies and accounting standards Generate and send customer invoices in a timely manner Apply payments, monitor aging reports, and follow up on outstanding balances Reconcile AR accounts and resolve billing or payment issues with customers Maintain accurate customer records and support cash application activities Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and financial summaries as needed Maintain organized accounting files and documentation Utilize QuickBooks for AP, AR, journal entries, and general ledger tasks Create and maintain spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis Support process improvements and help streamline accounting workflows Skills Hands-on experience in Accounts Payable (AP) Hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with QuickBooks Experience with Microsoft Excel Strong organizational skills Accuracy in financial recordkeeping Ability to work independently Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced accounting environment Company Overview Company Summary Latitude is a Human Resource Consulting Firm headquartered in Hanover, MD with an office in Winter Park, FL.
