Accounting Associate/Accountant
Full Time Remote: Puerto Rico
About our client: Our client is a high growth and top property management firm in South Side Chicago real estate. They are also expanding the management to other smaller clients and cities including Detroit, Indianapolis and more. They currently they have close to 1500 rental units and growing. Their international office in located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. They are offering a challenging learning opportunity, growth, 100% paid benefits and collaborative team.
About the position: Our client is looking for a tech savvy Accounting Associate/Accountant to work full time in Puerto Rico with AppFolio (preferred) software experience to assist with basic Accounting tasks including:
• Handle all AP/AR using AppFolio custom software
• Work closely with Controller to handle tax documents
• Facilitate the timely completion of reporting and bookkeeping to keep investor reporting up to date
• Complete all monthly cash reconciliations; currently over 30+ cash accounts to reconcile every month
• Prep vendor bills for Controller sign off and approval; pay approved vendor bills
• Complete ad hoc accounting related special projects as Controller needs
• Working Hours: 10am -6pm EST
Ideal Qualifications:
• BS in Accounting/Masters in Accounting a plus
• Fluent English speaker
• Financially savvy and great with numbers
• Appfolio or equivalent software experience
• Quickbooks experience required
• Bookkeeping/Accounting certification and experience working with real estate, property management firm or professional services firm
• Entrepreneurial and will to work remote
• Needs little handholding and looking to join a high growth firm!
Compensation plan:
Compensation plan will include a base salary and bonus with full health benefits. Reward on metrics and performance which includes these various layers of compensation.
