We’re currently looking for a new Accountant with experience in A/P management and processing payroll in Canada and USA for our growing finance department in Toronto. Your Challenge Payables & Accounting:Perform monthly and year-end reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and adjustmentsConduct expenditure and variance analyses; prepare supporting reports and insightsReconcile inter-company accounts and support external audits with documentation and responsesPrepare regulatory, statutory, and tax filings for reviewEnsure compliance with accounting standards and internal policiesSupport team members with accounting and payroll-related queries and trainingIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyManage finance-related inquiries from the shared inboxContribute to other accounting-related tasks as neededPayroll:Own end-to-end payroll processing for Canada and the US via third-party providersManage employee lifecycle changes (hires, terminations, compensation, benefits) and validate HRIS dataReconcile payroll data for accounting system integrationPrepare year-end tax forms, remittances, and compliance reportingGenerate payroll summaries and reports (e.g., earnings, deductions, leave balances)Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain best practices in payroll and benefitsSupport ongoing improvements to payroll systems, processes, and reportingResolve payroll-related questions and ensure timely, accurate responsesAssist with other payroll-related responsibilities as assigned Is This You?
