1099 Associate Attorney – NJ Licensed (NY a Plus)
Location: Remote / Hybrid (NJ-focused work)
Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Compensation: Paid per review; semi-monthly payments
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated NJ-licensed Associate Attorney to assist with increasing production in a fast-paced legal practice. New York licensure is a strong plus, but not required. This role is ideal for an attorney comfortable with high-volume review work and post-judgment processes who wants flexible, performance-based compensation.
Responsibilities
• Review and analyze judgments
• Conduct placement reviews
• Perform suit reviews
• Handle post-judgment enforcement reviews
• Provide clear, timely legal feedback to support case progression
• Assist in maintaining steady production and turnaround times
Requirements
• Active New Jersey law license (required)
• New York law license (preferred, not required)
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation and post-judgment enforcement
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple reviews efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and written analysis skills
• Reliable availability to support consistent production volume
Compensation
• Paid per completed review
• Semi-monthly payments
• Independent contractor (1099); no benefits provided
