Responsibilities • Execute benchmarks to identify hotspots/bottlenecks in the Developer Experience & zOS stack implementation • Evaluate the performance across the IBM zSW and middleware products • Suggest and implement platform specific changes/improvements using prototypes as proof points • Define performance scenarios, test cases/suites, parameters and targets to accomplish as a team • Identify and suggest tools, utilities, benchmarks and methodologies to evaluate the performance and fine tune the product • Contribute to performance analysis and study by executing benchmarks and collecting various performance measurements and metrics • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders including research, development, sales, offering, marketing teams to ensure product is highlighted by showcasing performance collaterals • Work with peer Product Owners, Architects, and Managers to project the status of the tasks at hand as well as propose any implementation changes beneficial to the overall product Requirements • 10+ years of experience as Performance engineer in working with Middle and Software Applications. • 8+ years of experience with Performance test, analysis, tuning, optimization and associated performance tools and utilities • 5+ years of experience in performance analysis and problem determination, quick prototyping and iterative experimentation • Proven experience in measuring performance of Frontend, Middleware and AI products. • Excellent programming in Typescript, Javascript, Java, Python (Familiar with PL/X would be advantageous) • Ability to write/modifying Shell Programs - Bash, KSH, CSH. • Experience working with install/Build scripts, Makefiles • Proficient with Linux/Unix development environment (command line development, configuration, libraries,..etc). • 5+ years of experience as a technical lead to translate requirements into work items (stories). • Strong Linux system administration (Linux/Unix fundamentals, administration experience.) • Strong analytical, debugging and problem solving skills to analyse issues and defects reported by customer-facing and test teams. • Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills • Proven ability to work effectively in a global team environment Benefits • Continuous learning and development opportunities • Supportive environment for personal and professional growth • Encouragement to experiment and innovate Apply tot his job
