Position Overview We are seeking a talented YouTube Thumbnail Editor to support our Screen portfolio across CBR, ScreenRant, Collider, and MovieWeb. This role is responsible for creating high-impact, click-driven thumbnails and visual assets that directly influence YouTube performance, audience growth, and brand identity across multiple channels. The ideal candidate understands how to design for speed, clarity, and conversion while maintaining distinct visual identities for each brand. You will work closely with video producers, editors, and brand teams across the portfolio to ensure every video is visually competitive in today’s crowded YouTube ecosystem. Your Responsibilities • Produce 20–30 branded thumbnails and visual assets per week across CBR, ScreenRant, Collider, and MovieWeb. • Design bold, engaging, click-optimized thumbnails tailored to each brand’s tone, audience, and editorial focus. • Ensure all visuals follow brand and editorial style guidelines, maintaining consistency across platforms and publications. • Manage and maintain a well-organized asset library for efficient production and reuse. • Meet deadlines while balancing speed, quality, and accuracy. • Stay current on entertainment trends, pop culture moments, and digital design best practices to keep visuals fresh and competitive. • Collaborate with producers and editors to align thumbnails with video strategy and performance goals. Our Perks • Competitive compensation • Consistent and timely payments • Flexible schedule • Fully remote freelance role • Exposure across four of the largest entertainment brands on YouTube Qualifications • 2+ years of professional experience with Photoshop and/or Illustrator in a digital media, entertainment, or YouTube-focused environment. • Strong image sourcing, compositing, and retouching skills. • Experience blending fan art, promotional stills, and photography into clean, on-brand visuals. • Solid understanding of YouTube thumbnail strategy, including contrast, composition, and audience psychology. • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. • Strong attention to detail and visual consistency across multiple brands. • Passion for movies, TV, and pop culture.
