YouTube Manager
Our client, a large digital music, podcast, and video service, is looking to hire a YouTube Manager to join their team fully remote (preferred New York)!
In this role, you will oversee the strategy, growth, and day-to-day management of our YouTube channel. This role involves optimizing content, engaging with our audience, analyzing performance metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure our YouTube content aligns with overall organic content strategy and brand goals.

What You Will Be Doing
Develop and implement a comprehensive YouTube content strategy that aligns with marketing objectives and resonates with our target audience. Interface with GOSS’s editorial planning to ensure consistent and timely uploads. Collaborate with content creators, videographers, and designers to produce high-quality videos. Optimize video titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails for maximum visibility and engagement, incorporating SEO best practices. Collaborate with social creative team to advise stakeholders) on how to produce high quality videos Manage the day-to-day operations of the YouTube channel, including scheduling uploads, organizing playlists, and ensuring brand consistency across all content. Lead audience engagement strategy to ensure fan comments are monitored and responded to in a timely manner Engage with the YouTube community, responding to comments and fostering a sense of community. Manage and approve YouTube channel access for domestic and international teams—including media agency partners—ensuring appropriate permission and settings. Maintain a running access log and implement a process for revoking access when partnerships end. Utilize YouTube Analytics and other tools to track performance metrics such as views, watch time, and audience retention. Generate regular reports to assess content performance and inform future strategies. Provide data-driven recommendations on pivots and shifts to content or strategies guided by this information Implement strategies to increase subscriber count, viewer engagement, watch time and other important metrics as identified Stay updated on YouTube policies, trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and channel growth. Ensure all content adheres to copyright laws and community guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred Proven experience managing and growing a YouTube channel, preferably for a major entertainment or technology brand or organization. Demonstrated success in developing and executing content strategies that drive engagement and growth on YouTube Deep understanding of how to navigate the impact of paid while trying to build an organic audience, especially in consideration of both US markets and international markets all utilizing the channel to drive paid performance History of optimizing channels, playlists, and videos with eye towards maximizing engagement and views Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Strong understanding of YouTube’s algorithm, SEO, and analytics tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
