YourPace Admissions Specialist/Document Processor

About the position

The University of Maine at Presque Isle is seeking an Admissions Specialist/Document Processor to join a dynamic team focused on providing proactive, student-centered support to adult graduate and undergraduate prospects and applicants in the YourPace competency-based education program. This role involves processing applications, interacting with prospective students, and updating student statuses in various platforms, ensuring a smooth admissions process from inquiry to enrollment.

Responsibilities
• Prepare applications and supporting documents for formal review.
,
• Log the receipt of application documents in a timely manner and in accordance with departmental procedures.
,
• Understand admissions-related policies to determine if additional documents may be needed from the applicant.
,
• Track student progress through the admissions funnel using software applications: MaineStreet, ImageNow, and Salesforce.
,
• Assist in monitoring the YourPace email account and respond to questions from prospective students, applicants, and current students.
,
• Provide regular communication to applicants via their preferred method (email, text message, or phone call) regarding application requirements.
,
• Use Salesforce and MaineStreet to generate data about applications to guide daily work.
,
• Matriculate students and inform them of next steps in the enrollment process.
,
• Provide feedback about the application process to the Admissions Team and recommend improvements.

Requirements
• Basic computer skills including the use of multiple software applications simultaneously, Microsoft Office suite, Google applications, and communication technology (e.g., Zoom).
,
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience in admissions, tutoring, counseling, customer service, marketing, or sales.
,
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
,
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
,
• Proof of a stable, reliable internet connection of not less than 25mbps for remote work.

Nice-to-haves
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Gmail, and recruitment software.

• Related sales or marketing experience.
