Worship Ministry Intern
Role Description: Worship Intern — Epicentre Church (Part-Time) Time Commitment & Pay Start Date: July 1, 2025 Hours: 0.5 FTE (12-20 hours/week), hourly non-exempt role Work Format: Hybrid • In-office: Tuesday (5hrs), Thursday (5hrs), Sunday (approx 5 hrs 2x a month) • Remote hours (flexible) Compensation: $18.04/hour Benefits: No vacation accrual or medical or dental benefits. Reporting Structure • Reports to: Worship Pastor • Works closely with: Technical Director, Epicentre Pastoral Staff Role Summary The Worship & Creative Ministry Intern serves primarily within Epicentre’s Worship Ministry department to uphold the mission and values of the church by leading and strengthening the infrastructure needed for the ministry to thrive and reproduce. The Worship Ministry Intern will work within the Worship & Production teams to support staff, volunteers, and ministry teams with detail-oriented execution, reliability, and spiritual maturity. Desired Outcomes (Core Responsibilities): I. Musical Worship Leadership & Visioning • Actively engage in ongoing mentoring with supervisor (1 hr/week). • Participating in and growing in Spirit led worship in our non-sunday gatherings (staff meetings, hope room). • Routinely serve Worship/Production ministry on Sunday mornings. • Create coaching/training on ramps for lay leaders to grow in skills/giftings at home in conjunction with Worship Pastor II. Worship Ministry Leadership/Administration • Create vocal coaching groups to support and develop lay leadership • Streamline on-boarding and team orientation for new members. • Assist in team development and support of lay-leaders. • Assist in Planning Center Scheduling. • Empower our leadership team in planning and preparation for quarterly Worship Gathering events III. Spiritual Formation & Ministry Calling Development • Develop spiritual formation practices through discipleship/resources in the Antioch Network and supervision to help discern ministry calling (1 hr/week). • Participate and serve in staff meetings and staff training (3-4 hr/week). • Attend church retreats and conferences (WMLA, Worship Leaders Gathering) Anointed Fit: Ideal Profile We are seeking someone with: • A vibrant, Spirit-filled relationship with God through Jesus-Christ. • Humble and teachable leader committed to serving others. • Demonstrate spiritual maturity, character, and ministry giftings. • Value-carrier for Epicentre Church and the Worship Ministry. • Musical competency to lead bands and congregation in worship. • Proficiency in using Planning Center, SongSelect, ProPresenter.
