Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant
Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national practice, seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as an experience Workers' Compensation Defense Legal Assistant supporting attorneys at our Orange County office. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a paperless enviroment with prior experience providing a wide range of legal support to a team of attorneys.
Job Description: :
Ā Perform administrative duties, including proofreading and editing all materials for extreme accuracy and clarity.
Ā The ability to accurately type 65-75 words per minute
Ā Ensure accuracy of naming conventions for cases and proper saving of all electronic files related to assigned matters, experience with iManage is a plus.
Ā Exercise knowledge of legal documents and terminology
Ā Assist with calendar calls and deposition scheduling, as needed
Ā Experience with E-file, all types of discovery requests, responses to opposing counsel, motions, calendaring and docketing deadlines, knowledge with EAMS is a plus.
Requirements/Skills:
Ā 3+ years experience in Workers' Compensation Defense practice is preferred.
Ā Prior experience in federal and state filing
Ā Knowledge of billing and adherence to client guidelines
Ā Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Work, Excel and Powerpoint
Ā Exceptional organizational skills
Ā Positive attitude

This role offers a hourly salary and bonus opportunity. The hourly salary range for this position is $24.00 to $33.00. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. This position also offers a full benefits package.
