Data entry/typing services might include:
? Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
? Type data into our database from paper documents provided directly from customers
? Enter data into a proprietary web application
? Verify data by comparing it to source documents
Requirements to become a freelance data entry clerk/typist on Upwork:
? Must be over the age of 18 with an internet connection
? No prior experience is required but prior experience is preferred
Preferred skills for freelance data entry specialist
? 1+ years experience as a data entry clerk or in a related field
? Basic understanding of databases
? Strong, demonstrated computer skills
? Ability to type at least 60 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy
