Work from Home - Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician - Arizona License

BroadPath is hiring a Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician to work from home! The Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician will oversee, research, and review prescription authorizations to ensure accuracy and follow-up as needed. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work closely with providers and internal partners. You must have an active, unrestricted Arizona (AZ) Pharmacy Technician License to be considered. Responsibilities • Process prescription prior authorizations submitted by providers • Review and research compound prescriptions • Make outbound calls to providers when additional information is needed • Provide prior authorization recommendations to reviewing pharmacists based on benefit plan design and coverage guidelines • Set up and process all specialty medication reviews under both pharmacy and medical benefits • Maintain working knowledge of pharmacy and medical claims processing systems Qualifications • Active unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Arizona (AZ) • Previous experience in a pharmacy technician position • Must be a subject matter expert regarding prior authorization with a focus on Specialty Prior • Authorization, pre-certification and retrospective reviews This position is train at home/work at home.
