The Merchant is responsible for supporting the development of defined product categories, executing a retail business plan, aiding their team in strategic planning, managing and training new talent.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
รย Execute and follow-up of retail assortment and category reviews
รย Create and hone business plans, including strong and detailed promotional programs. Maximizing Gross Profit Dollars and improving profitability of programs following direction of Senior Merchant and Director
รย Analyze and recommend various pricing strategies by item and category
รย Coordinate promotional plans to drive average basket and increase sales per sq. ft.
รย Collaborate across a cross functional team to maximize sales and profit for assigned business unit
รย Supervise, manage and develop team while maximizing productivity
รย Inventory collaboration for sales planning
รย Lead item transition process across all relative departments and define forecasts
รย Assist Space planner in roll out of new programs
รย Present plans to all levels of management including executives
รย Multitask and direct multiple projects simultaneously
รย Collaboration with brand development and packaging team
รย Execute and follow up with the operations team in order to execute new items and programs
รย Work with Inventory to recognize where items are at in the product life cycle

Requirements
Job Qualifications - Education and Experience
รย Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is required
รย A minimum of 4 years' experience in Merchandising/Category Management or related field
รย Previous experience supervising and managing others is a plus
รย Excellent leadership, negotiating, presentation and planning skills a must
รย Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
รย Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
รย Comfortable presenting to all levels of management including exeutives
รย Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Physical Requirements
General office environment requiring ability to:
รย stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time
รย speak and listen to others in person and over the phone
รย use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports
รย lift up to 15 lbs.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $114,400 - $171,700 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays).
