WordPress Developer to Build Data-Driven Directory from Scratch (ACF + CPT + Templates)
I’m looking for a WordPress developer to finish and clean up a small, text-based directory site. This is not a complex UI project and not a booking or e-commerce site. The site is intentionally minimal, similar to a Wikipedia-style registry. Most of the structure is already in place. What’s already done • WordPress installed and running • Custom Post Types created (Islands, Guesthouses, etc.) • Custom fields created using ACF • Basic templates started using the block editor What I need help with • Review the existing setup and fix anything that’s incorrectly configured • Finish single and archive templates for custom post types • Ensure custom fields display correctly in templates • Add simple, clean JSON-LD / schema output (basic entity schema only) • Keep everything lightweight, readable, and text-focused What this is NOT • No complex frontend UI • No animations or heavy design work • No booking systems, payments, or user accounts • No SEO tricks or marketing copy Ideal fit • Someone comfortable with WordPress, ACF, and block templates • Able to follow a short technical reference PDF (provided) • Happy to keep things clean and simple Time & budget • Small scope • Should be doable quickly for someone experienced • Fixed-price task (open to suggestions) I’m available to clarify requirements and keep communication simple and efficient.
