Job Description: WordPress Developer + Designer (Short-Term Project) Location: Remote, only available to candidates local to Denver, Colorado Position Type: Project-Based (Approx. 1 Month) Compensation: $3,000 (Paid upon project completion) Benefits: This project-based role does not include benefits Project Overview StorySpring Consulting is seeking an experienced WordPress Developer and Designer to lead the full setup and build-out of a new website for a national nonprofit client. This project involves merging the structure and assets of two existing websites into a single, cohesive WordPress build. Finalist candidates will be provided with the two existing site URLs as part of the final scoping and interview process. Work will generally be remote and will include weekly virtual project check-ins with the StorySpring team. Key Responsibilities Site Development and Integration Create a new WordPress development site that merges the structure and assets of two existing websites for a single, unified experience. Full Build Out Develop the new site using WordPress and Elementor. This includes setting up page structures, organizing content, configuring global styles, and building reusable templates that align with the provided sitemap and design direction. Design Preservation and Gated Content Maintain the elements of one of the current sites and place that portion of the site securely behind a login wall for members-only access. Plugin and Tool Configuration Install and configure essential plugins, including Elementor and other user-friendly tools, to support long-term content management and easy updates by the client. Quality, Stability, and Responsiveness Ensure the merged site is stable, accessible, and responsive across modern devices and browsers, and that it is ready for final content and design refinements prior to launch. Collaboration and Communication Collaborate regularly with the StorySpring team, provide weekly status updates, and incorporate feedback to ensure the site structure and build support the client’s long-term needs. Qualifications • Proven experience as a WordPress Developer and Designer • Strong portfolio demonstrating full WordPress site builds and redesigns • Advanced proficiency with Elementor, including theme building, global styles, templates, and responsive design • Experience integrating or restructuring multiple sites into a single WordPress build • Familiarity with membership or gated-content tools • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to deliver clean, organized, and well-documented work • Excellent communication skills and comfort working remotely with a small team • Experience working with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is a plus • Must be local to the Denver, Colorado area How to Apply Interested candidates should submit a 2 minute phone video as their primary application.
