As a WAS Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments. Install and configure WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
Monitor and maintain WAS environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the WAS environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of WAS with other systems and applications.
Develop and maintain documentation for WAS installation, configuration, and maintenance processes.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in WAS administration to continuously improve systems and processes.
Implement security measures to protect WAS environments from potential threats.
Coordinate with vendors for upgrades and patches to keep WAS environments up to date.
Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users.
Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline WAS administration tasks.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance activities.
Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to provide timely updates on WAS environments.
Proactively identify and address potential issues or areas for improvement in WAS environments.
Collaborate with project teams to plan and implement new WAS environments for client projects.
Adhere to company and industry standards and best practices for WAS administration.
